After closing the last rift you must stand your ground for a certain amount of time to win the match.

It is standard battle royale mixed in with dinosaurs and gameplay from ARK: Survival Evolved. You are thrown into a beautiful world with impressively detailed greenery and dinosaurs. Try your hand at taming any dinosaur that you want, some of which can immensely help you in winning the round that can have up to 72 players. The matches in this winter-themed battle royale might be smaller, but that doesn’t make the game any worse. Darwin Project in fact puts its own interesting twist on the genre, placing you in a cold environment together with 9 other players, starting off with only an axe and a bow. Throughout the game you have to ensure you stay warm as you craft, place traps, and gain powers in a map divided in 7 parts. Aside from the regular last-man standing victory condition, how an entire match plays out can be quite different every time, because in every 10-player match, there is another player affecting the flow of the game behind the scenes: the Show Director.
