Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel Alternatives and Similar Games
Below you will find the brief info about Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel, user reviews and the list of the most similar games.
Games Like Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel
Games like Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel put a focus on complex turn-based gameplay. They task you with difficult combat scenarios as you progress through missions, further unveiling the story and medieval, nuclear, or another kind of world. In these tactical games, you lead a squad of diverse members against all odds or raise a powerful force as you hunt for loot and complete quests.
Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel takes good turn-based gameplay and further expands on it while introducing a system that is actually different from the first two turn-based RPGs. Set in the same post-apocalyptic universe as Fallout 1 and 2, Fallout Tactics goes in a different direction from its predecessors. As its name suggests, it focuses on strategic turn-based combat rather than RPG elements, limiting interaction with NPCs, unlike previous entries.
What makes fighting the terrors of the wasteland different is that Fallout Tactics features three different combat modes. As you lead your squad from the Brotherhood of Steel, you can engage in Individual Turn-Based mode, which is your regular turn-based gameplay seen in previous games. Squad Turn-Based mode, however, lets you move all your squad members at the same time before your opponent takes his turn.
The main mode that makes this game different, and is the default mode, is Continuous Turn-Based mode. Continuous Turn-Based mode basically makes the game play out in real-time, while each action you make costs action points. These action points regenerate over time, depending on how much agility a squad member has.
While Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel can be basically played out as an RTS, sometimes it might be smarter to use turn-based modes to create a strategy and carefully take out the mutants in your path.
